Mind you when she was born, I couldn’t wait for her to do everything! It was all so new, and a fun adventure.
Fast forward to the second, third and fourth babies, and I was a lot less eager for them to start walking, talking and fly the coop. Which is not exactly an accurate description of school, but close enough. 🙂
This year, it was BJ’s turn to start full-time education, and one would have thought that by number three, I was an old hat at sending my little people off to someone else for the day. Well an old hat I may be, but an emotional one at that. I think I got more teary this time than I ever have before. God help me when Ava starts.
Which unfortunately, is not that far off. The way territory schooling works, she will actually start preschool mid year this year, and with our fantastic school, that means she is going for three days.
Three. Full. Days.
Which is brilliant on many levels, and devastating on so many others.
Not least of them meaning I should probably start doing something wonderful, and yet I still haven’t decided what I want to be when I grow up. It’s a conundrum which has me wanting to keep her home for another six months yet.
Unfortunately, when you are the littlest of four people, and you see all the fun things your brother and sister’s get to do at school, extended home time with mum isn’t really an option. All the possibilities of preschool loom on the horizon like a wonderful dream, and despite the fact that I am sure when the rubber meets the road, she will hate the idea of leaving my side, for now at least, it’s a rather grand adventure.
An adventure that must be met with the proper accessories.
Enter Stuck on You.
Now I’ll be frank here; when it comes to personalised products, these guys are my favourite. I never even consider looking anywhere else, because really, why would I? They have a great range, their service is fabulous, and everything arrives quickly, which is just what I need.
Plus this year they have kitted out Miss Ava with only the best in pink accessories. Because pink, of course, is the only colour in the world worthy of being carried by this little princess.
So what does one need when planning to take on the preschool world?
One of these super gorgeous kids bags is a great place to start.
Not to mention a personalised drink bottle so she never loses hers in the class fridge.
And also a whole bunch of name labels. The family pack comes complete with clothing labels, shoe labels, different sized sticky labels, and even ones little enough for pencils. In the past I’ve got individual names, but this time I went with the family name. On account of the fact that all our uniforms get passed down anyway, and it’s not very cool to have your brother’s name on your uniforms. Especially if your mum happens to accidentally attach it to the outside of your shirt. 😯
Thankfully, I did it below the collar level. Because once these babies are on, believe me, they ain’t coming off!!! A fact I honestly appreciate when I iron them in the right location. 😉
