Where did all the mojo go?
I looked high, and I looked low
I said blog and it said ‘no’
Oh where did all the mojo go?
To where did all the mojo flee?
And why’d it runaway from me?
Like those lions on Born Free,
Mojo left and it’s just me
Why did mojo leave me here?
With no words but only fear
Did she duck out for a beer?
It’s bad to drink alone I hear
Mojo I say ‘shame on you!’
You rude, and fickle douche canoe.
You stink like an old man’s fishing shoe
Which is really bad. Don’t laugh, it’s true.
In a galaxy far, far away,
Is where mojo seems to want to stay
It hurts me so that she won’t play
I miss her every single day.
We got a pup
His name was Roll*
The colour of a chocolate scroll
Perhaps I should have called him Mo
Then Mojo would not have to go.
Mojo you’re a silly goose
Did you ever abandon Dr Seuss?
Or Hemingway? Or Stephen King?
Don’t tell me, I was just a fling?!
We had it good, our love was real
Like sorbet following a meal
We kept it fresh, we did things right
Until you vanished in the night
Mojo will you please forgive?
Without you I can’t surely live
My poetry lacks skill or style
Because you packed up, left the country and didn’t leave a note you tempestuous wench!
(Sorry. Went too far. Please ignore that last part.)
Lovely Mojo, my darling dear
I’m sucking up so please do hear
I’ll even shed a little tear,
I need you. Please, I need you here.
My blog without you is so bland
Just dark and dull, not bright and grand
My stories just don’t read as I planned
It’s like I’m missing my right hand.
Remember all the words we wrote
The times we shared, our love devote (d)
Return from sowing your wild oats
And ‘I’ll love you forever.’ Quote, unquote.
Yours sincerely, EssentiallyJess
*The dog’s name is Rolo. Not Roll.
Anyone seen my Mojo?
Or has it run off with yours?
