Good Morning, afternoon or evening! (Depending, of course, on when you’re reading this :))
I hope you have been having an excellent weekend, whatever it is you are doing, and have not had that horrid cold that seems to be floatinga round Facebook. (I’m sure that’s where I caught it from.)
Now if you’re wondering why I’m buttering you up like this, it’s because I have a huge favour to ask, and I really hope you will say yes.
You know that little hobby I’ve had going on in the background? The publishing of my book? That one?
Well one of the last things I’ve needed to organise, is a family photo for the inside cover.
Seeing as it’s just about impossible to find one anywhere (since usually one of us is taking the pic), I organised for a professional photo shoot to happen on Saturday morning, and by some super human feat of strength (or perhaps it was just a miracle), Boatman and I managed to get everyone out of the house dressed and ready, by 7:15 am.
Stand and marvel people, stand and marvel.
Unfortunately, the photographer was unable to be that organised, and despite several phone calls, she never showed up.
This created somewhat of a dilemma, because, due to time constraints, the photo really needed to be done ASAP, so we made the rash decision, to try and do it ourself.
We were all dressed, hair was done, and we’ve got a great camera and a tripod. How hard can it be?
Turns out, not too hard. But choosing which of the photos is the best for a first book publication, is another thing altogether.
Which is where you lot come in.
Below this post, you will find 14 pictures; 7 different shots in colour and black and white, and I need honest opinions. Which one do you think looks the best in quality, and in character. And which do you think works for a book?
I figure anyone who reads this blog knows us well enough to be well equipped to make this decision, and it’s way too hard for me, so if you can take two minutes, I’ll be eternally grateful!
Can you see my dilemma?
So help a budding author out. Which would you pic?
