I have a dream….
It involves me sitting on my couch, writing the day away, whilst the children play happily together, bring me cups of tea, and my maid cleans the house.
At the moment my reality is more me carting boxes of beer around a cool room, squeezing in forbidden moments to reply to emails, trying to break up fights or spend quality one on one time with the kids, and pretending my kitchen does not look like it actually does.
Thankfully, I do have a maid.
But not for much longer.
Tomorrow is the day that Boatman finally, after five months, starts his new job! We will be able to breath again and possibly even pay the school fees. Words cannot describe the sense of relief that this day is finally coming.
Unfortunately, considering the fact that for the past few weeks, we’ve switched roles, and I’ve been the working gal, whilst he is the SAHD, it means I’m going to have to clean my floor again. Now don’t hate me for admitting this, but it’s been about 3 weeks (possibly longer) since I have had to pick up a broom, vacuum cleaner, or mop. Instead I’ve been living in this wonderful world, where I return home at 10:30 at night to a reasonably spotless kitchen and sparkling floors. It’s been absolute bliss.
Tomorrow marks the end of this.
If only, there was another way. An object that could do the work of my now employed husband, and remove all the debris from my floors, and then mop them afterwards. Some kind of miracle worker that would navigate the grotty floorboards of my home, and make them sparkle like some kind of Disney Palace.
It may not be as handsome as my Boatman, or do his job in other areas (nudge nudge wink wink), but this Robomaid is dedicated to floor cleanliness in a way I can only dream of.
She will vacuum for an hour, cover up to 100 square feet, is easily programmable and will not go where you tell her (she is evidently a girl), and uses 20 times less energy than standard vacuum cleaners.
Plus she comes in red, which is good not just for looks, but because everyone knows red goes fastest.
Now I would love to tell you that I have played with a Robomaid, and take all manner of photos of me writing away, with my cup of tea and happily contented children, whilst she cleans the house, but I can’t. Partly because I haven’t had much writing time, no one has made me a cuppa and my kids aren’t playing happily, but also because I haven’t got one.
But you can.
Faced with the choice of receiving my own robotic vacuum cleaner valued at $399, or giving one of you lucky readers one, I chose the latter. Cause apparently it’s better to give than receive.
Though to be honest, I’m highly doubting that because I really, really, really want one.
Really want one.
So if you would like to be the lucky recipient of your very own Robomaid, which will not only guarantee your floors will be clean, but that you can write in peace, drink tea all day long, and have happy contented children* make sure you leave me a comment, telling me what your dream is.
And the person who says that their dream is to give it me, wins 🙂
*I can only vouch for the accuracy of the clean floors. The rest is entirely unpredictable.
This is a post for Robomaid. I did not receive any cash or products to write this, but I just thought it would be a great giveaway.
The competition is open to Australian residents only, and will run from April 28th to May 5th.
Entry is via the comment form below.
This is a game of skill. The best comment will win.
The judges decision is final. Winner will be notified via email, and will have 48 hours to respond before the prize is redrawn.
