Today’s IBOT is brought to you by a random collection of housekeeping necessities.
And also the letter T. 😉
So another Tuesday rolls around and with it brings a host of new blog reading opportunities. I have to say, my spreadsheet, is getting quite a workout, because last month we had a relatively large number of new bloggers! Very exciting to see IBOT stretching far and wide.
Now for those of you who are new to this Tuesday linky, there are a few things you should know.
The first is that IBOT has very few ‘rules’ but some rather lovely guidelines to make the link up exciting for everyone. If you’re wondering what they are, you can either check out this page, or browse my hastily slapped together IBOT jpeg. 🙂
The second piece of information, you might find interesting, is that once a month, there is an IBOT newsletter. What’s in this newsletter I hear you ask?
All the latest goss on IBOT happenings, #teamIBOT’S picks for the months, and of course the latest Blogger of the Mo’. Make sure you sign up cause the April edition is going out this week, (and you never know when you might get a mention!) 🙂
And finally, perhaps the most inportant of all, is #teamIBOT. You may have noticed that whilst you don’t get a comment from myself directly every week, you do get one with a nice little hashtag. Like some wonderful raffle prize, that hashtag means you have been visited by one of the gorgeous members of #teamIBOT, who have read your post, and left a thoughtful comment for you. These ladies are really what makes IBOT so wonderful; they embody the true spirit of community.
Now lucky for all of you, this month we have two new members added to the team! (Yay!!) I love what both of these ladies bring, not only to #teamIBOT, but also the blogging community as a whole. So with no further ado, please welcome Janet and Miss Cinders.
What’s your name: Miss Cinders, or Cinders, or MC… whatever one tickles your fancy. I do on occasion get called “insane”.
Where do you blog: www.saturdaymorningogremum.com A blog about everything me. Life as it is at any given moment in my world. The place I empty my brain in order to keep my sanity.
Do you have a favourite topic: Not particularly. Although I do love humour. If something is funny I’ll read it, watch it, or write it and laugh until my belly and cheeks hurt! I like to make people laugh. But I do have a habit of writing the raw… which probably isn’t a good thing some days.
Do you believe in love at first sight: Yes! For sure. Although I think the kind of love you have for somebody evolves as time goes on. But that first spark of love is always there.
Which cartoon character do you most identify with and why? I had to outsource the answer to this question to my daughter Gravel because I couldn’t think of one. Apparently I fall alongside SpongeBob Squarepants… Why does the one called Gravel think this? And I quote: “Because you is funny!”…. and because I could possibly enjoy living in a pineapple under the sea.
If you could have a super power what would it be: Reading people’s minds, because I’m hopeless at reading peoples body language! To know what someone is truly thinking would be awesome. Then I would be a step ahead of the kids when they’re planning to sneak outside after I’ve asked them to clean up their mess or to do their turn at the washing up… and so I would know who it really was that stole my chocolate… or wiped a booga on the wall… or pee’d on the toilet seat which I just sat in!
What food would you never eat: Liver or kidney, it gives me shivers just thinking about them… and they make me gag just thinking about them too.
Finish this sentence: #IBOT is… where you will find all kinds of extraordinary, courageous, humorous, talented, awesome blogs and bloggers.
P.S. I now have the SpongeBob theme song stuck in my head.
What’s your name: Janet
Where do you blog: http://redlandcityliving.com
Do you have a favourite topic: This wonderful gift called LIFE! I just love to write about whatever takes my fancy at any particular point in time.
Do you believe in love at first sight: No. I believe in “like” or “attraction” at first sight, but it takes time to get to know another person and for love to develop. Although I thought the hubster was cute at first sight, we were dating for about a year before I realised he was “the one”. After that, he didn’t have much say in the matter, LOL! We were engaged within 6 months of my revelation 😉
Which cartoon character do you most identify with and why? Ooo this is tough! Marge Simpson – because I find myself doing the grrrr thing a lot; Daria – because I was a bit of a nerd at school; Wonder Woman (aren’t we all?!); and Tigger from Pooh Bear because I love all things cute and get very excited and bounce around 🙂
If you could have a super power would would it be: I’d love to be able to snap my fingers and have a magically clean house.
What food would you never eat: I’m not a fan of seafood, or peas, or coriander but I have to say I would never eat offal (tripe, kidneys, liver, brains). Ewwww!
What’s the first thing you would buy if you had $1 000 000? I’d buy my hubster’s happiness (ie I’d make him quit his job so he can start doing something he loves!)
Finish this sentence: #IBOT is … one of the things that sucked me into this blogging thing in the first place 😉
What made you join IBOT?
And how much do you love it? 🙂
