I was looking forward to today’s blog post.
I had half a mind to write a post about how I quite appreciate how no one party has annihilated the other in the election, because it means my Facebook feed has far less vitriol than it has had in previous elections. However, I tend to stay away from politics on the blog because it’s one of those divisive things, and it’s nicer when we all just get along. Which, incidentally, was why I was seeing a positive side to no government having yet been formed.
I also thought about writing a post about how I didn’t buy a pair of shoes. Which is quite the achievement because I’ve been crushing on this particular pair for ages, and they are currently 40%, and I was on a website buying stuff for the kids, so it would have been so easy to add ‘click to bag.’ Which I did, but then removed, because I am the queen of self-control. (Not really, but I’ll pretend.)
I’ve got half a short story drafted that was the result of that class talk the other week. I just need half an hour (see what I did there), to finish it.
But none of that happened because it appears a plague has befallen me and my head is fuzzy and my legs sore and all my words are coming out weird ways. Also, my bathtub is not long enough for me to enjoy all its relaxing properties, and I’m really not happy about it.
So it’s a quiet IBOT from me today. Here’s hoping next week I’ll be back to regular programming as usual.
How’s your week been?
